Representative C.W. Bill Young was presented with the Job Corps Champion Award by a delegation of students from the St. Petersburg Job Corps Center, in recognition of his continuing support of the Job Corps program for over 40 years. He is proud to have supported the establishment of five Job Corps centers throughout the nation, including the newest one in St. Petersburg. Pinellas Job Corps graduate and student government vice president Nyeisha Sessions said, “It is because of his dream and dedication that I was able to change my life and I can’t thank him enough.”

Jillian Munoz presented the award to Rep. Young, expressing her gratitude for Congressman Young’s “hands on” participation in the Job Corps program. “I met Congressman Young the first day I arrived at Job Corps and I have known him ever since.” Jillian said, “He is a role model on campus and we can’t express how much we appreciate him.”

Representative Young stated, “It is a great honor to see these students grow through their participation in Job Corps. I want to recognize the commitment and dedication of all students and staff, who have ensured the success of this program.”
